Conference Management: Professional Development Convening

To support the professional development of sixteen independent program directors, Rosov Consulting engaged Leslie Rosen Stern to serve as project manager on the meeting design and implementation of logistics for a three day convening supported by the Jim Joseph Foundation. In this management role, Leslie collaborated with Rosov consultants and other stakeholders, who provided the content and program design, to engage participants in strategic conversations, learning, and sharing. Leslie advanced the planning on transportation, kosher meals, lodging contracts, and program activities, facilitated all speaker-presenter needs and supplies, and remained on site during the convening to ensure its success.

Every detail of every moment of our experience was handled with care and attention to detail. That was Leslie doing her job impeccably. But where she went above and beyond was in the care she took to understand our event, get to know our participants on site and blend in seamlessly all the while anticipating and responding to our needs. Our participants were all professionals who are usually in the driver’s seat taking care of others. She helped create an environment in which they could all relax and learn.
